重庆三峡学院民族学系是重庆市属高校中唯一的民族学教学、科研单位。民族学是重庆三峡学院重点建设学科之一。民族学系于2002年创办。办学定位是：立足三峡、服务西部、面向全国，培养具有创新精神的德智体美全面发展的本土化民族学应用型高级人才。
在培养民族学应用型高级人才的实践中，我们注重整体教学质量的提高，并突出以人为本的理念，通过推行本科生导师制、学年论文制、就业与考研的素质拓宽工程、与万州区恒合土家族乡共建小康社会行动等措施，在综合素质培养方面收到了明显成效，学生的英语四级过级率、挑战杯立项率等在全学院均名列前茅 。 ……更多……
